Thank You

After a weekend away with my family I am back and ready to begin the work that lies ahead. But before I do I have one piece of campaign work that I have not yet completed – THANK YOU! To all of you who gave of your time, money, sweat, and prayers I say thank you. We all pulled together to achieve the goal. Thank you for believing that justice is a worthy cause and placing your trust in me to fight for that cause for the next 4 years.

You may be asking yourselves, “what next?” I have begun the initial planning stages. I have chosen a man that I would trust my life with to be my First Assistant. He has been a prosecutor for nearly 12 years and has tried over 75 felony jury trials. Many personnel decisions must be made and I hope to have interviewed each current employee of the DA’s office before Thanksgiving. I plan to meet with each chief of police and sheriff in these 4 counties before I take office so that we can discuss and plan how we can better serve you. These are just a few of the things that I hope to accomplish before the first week of January 2011. Mr. Moore has offered his cooperation in making this transition as seamless as possible.

I am very much looking forward to serving as your DA. I have not yet determined how I will best be able to maintain communications with you as we move forward. Certainly my office will be open for individual issues that pertain to the office, but I hope to continue communication with you by newsletter, a web-site and perhaps Facebook to keep you informed about what is going on in the DA’s office and in your communities.

Again, I thank each one of you. Now let’s not lose sight of what all that hard work was for.  There is much more hard work to be done.
